Construction on China's third rocket launch center in Wenchang, Hainan province, will begin in November, Jiang Sixian, Hainan's vice-governor, told the province's people's congress's standing committee on Wednesday.
According to China National Radio yesterday, Jiang said the 5 billion-yuan project had passed environmental impact assessment.
He also said the province was building 10 five-star hotels and will invest 2.58 billion yuan to build water treatment plants.
